The end of cooperation with ACP: What is next?

Dear randonneurs!

The war is behind our windows. The Ukrainian army is fighting Russian fascists, whose bodies fertilize the soils in our forests and fields. But we’ll win, and snowdrops will grow on these soils. As symbols of spring and victory.

And for the victory, it’s crucial to maintain mental balance and emotional resources. And planning is a good tool for this.

Previously we post our response to Audax Club Parisien position regarding imposing sanctions on Russian and Belarusian associations and clubs. We outlined our disagreement with their position and we decide to stop cooperation with this organization.

It may look like the end, but it is just beginning something new.

So, we’d like to share a bit more details regarding our decision:

The club still exists. We’re not going to stop riding. We exist and work for the victory, as all of you do.

Since the club was founded we united people together and created the community. So, there’s no point to ruin this all. We are all united with our passion. And unity is crucial, especially at this time.

We stop our cooperation with Audax Club Parisien. In particular all BRM events for the season 2021—2022 are canceled. And we’re not going to hold any of BRM, LRM, Fleche, Trace, or other ACP brevets in the future.

Discussion regarding imposing sanctions on Russian and Belarusian clubs and associations raised a lot of issues in the community. Sadly, only a minority of associations supported our proposal. We appreciate all you guys who supported us in this discussion. For more than ten days there was no official ACP position on this issue, so our decision not to cooperate with ACP appeared earlier than the official response was released. No remorse whatsoever.

End of cooperation with ACP does not mean that we call on everyone to boycott ACP’s events in other clubs or countries - it is a personal matter of the individual randonneur.

Despite our decision, we still have some job to be done. We’re awaiting medals for season 2020—2021. As we get and label them, we’d like to hand these medals out to our randonneurs.

After the war ends our team will formulate the new key points of the Moguls Audax as the community. For the moment we cannot tell you which ride format will we offer to you, and it’s a matter of time to formulate our future cooperation. We want to notice that brevets and audax terms are not monopolized by ACP, so we will continue to use them.

You can join this new movement and commit your efforts to it.

Brevets online management system My / Moguls Audax will be stopped in September 2022. It was solely made for BRM and will be obsolete eventually. Registration of new users was closed. Registered users can query their personal data collection as soon as we announce it’s possible. Hopefully, as the war ended. With the victory.

So it goes.

And for the moment we all should do what we have to do—fight for Ukraine and freedom, support our economy, support our army.
