Open letter to the management of Audax Club Parisien and the entire Randonneurs community

Friends, like-minded Randoners!

On 24 February 2022, the Russian Federation with the support of the Republic of Belarus attacked Ukraine. This attack opened the eyes of the whole world to the cannibalistic regime of Russia. This aggression aims to destroy Ukraine as a state, to destroy Ukrainians as a nation. It is an attempt at genocide and an attack on universal values, on the principles of good neighborliness and peace in the modern world.

All over the world, friendly governments are announcing sanctions packages and assisting Ukraine. Commercial companies independently impose sanctions on the Russian Federation and its ally, the Republic of Belarus. Cultural and sports organizations are also massively refusing to cooperate with the aggressor countries.

Therefore, we, the Randoner community, consider it necessary to join the sanctions against the Russian Federation and Belarus, and appeal to the leadership of Audax Club Parisien and the entire global Randoner community with the requirements:

cancel the accreditation of Audax Club Parisien for organizing clubs in the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;
abolish the calendar of BRM, LRM, Fleche Nationale, Trace Nationale, SR clubs of organizing clubs in the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus for 2022;
do not register new organizing clubs in the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;
prohibit at the level of the rules of BRM, LRM, Fleche Nationale, Trace Nationale, SR on routes under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;
for any of BRM, LRM, Fleche Nationale, Trace Nationale, SR events allow registration for citizens and residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus only in organizing clubs under the jurisdiction of third countries, with the registration of results of these participants under common codes of independent participants;
prohibit at the level of the Paris-Brest-Paris rules the performance of citizens and residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus under the flags of these states and/or from the organizing clubs in the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;
impose the above sanctions for an indefinite period until the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, namely the return to Ukraine of the temporarily occupied territories, and for the period of reparations are paid to the full extent.
